Cruise
16.
Stoke on Trent - Birmingham.
July 23rd - 30th.
60 Miles, 56 Locks.
Canals- Trent & Mersey,Staffs & Worcester, BCN.
Station- Stoke.
Leaving Stoke on Trent, we will cruise down the locks to Great Haywood and
then onto the Staffs and Worcester canal, mooring over night at Tixall and
Penkridge before climbing the 23 locks of the Wolverhampton flight. We will
moor overnight at Dudley with time to visit the Black Country museum or the
tunnel, before cruising into Birmingham city centre, where this cruise will
end.

Birmingham - Warwick.
July 30th - August 6th.
24 Miles, 52 Locks. ( minimum)
Canals - BCN, Grand Union.
Station - Birmingham.
This will be an opportunity to spend a few days exploring the BCN, we will
(within reason) let you choose the route! We will then leave the fascinating
city of Birmingham and it’s many miles of waterway, cruising towards
Catherine de Barnes and the Grand Union canal, before descending the
magnificent Hatton locks to Warwick. |

Warwick -Tewkesbury.
August 6th - 13th.
56 Miles, 69 Locks.
Canals - Grand Union,Stratford, River Avon.
Station - Warwick.
Climbing out of Warwick up the 21 broad locks of the Hatton flight, we turn
onto the Stratford on Avon canal and descend the narrow locks into
Stratford. We will then join the River Avon and pass through Bidford,
Evesham and Pershore before the cruise ends at Tewkesbury.

Tewkesbury - Hanbury.
August 13th - 20th.
92 Miles, 21 Locks.
Canals - Severn, Gloucester & Sharpness, Worcs & Birmingham.
Station - Tewkesbury.
Cruising the river Severn we will visit Gloucester Docks and explore
the Gloucester and Sharpness canal before leaving the river at Worcester.
There we will join the Worcester and Birmingham canal as we climb out of
Worcester. This cruise ends at Hanbury. |

20.
Hanbury - Warwick.
August 20th - 25th.
36 Miles, 80 Locks.(5 night short break)
Canals - Worcester & Birmingham, Stratford,Grand Union.
Station - Worcester.
The Worcester and Birmingham canal is a must for keen lock wheelers, and
a day spent ascending the Tardebigge flight is challenging, but extremely
satisfying. We will turn onto the Stratford on Avon canal and descend the
Lapworth locks before re- joining the Grand Union. The Hatton flight will
take us back into Warwick.

Warwick - Rugeley.
August 27th - September 3rd.
84 Miles, 44 Locks.
Canals -Grand Union, North Oxford, Coventry, Trent & Mersey.
Station - Warwick.
This time we leave Warwick and head towards Braunston, descending
Hillmorton locks to Rugby we will cruise towards Hawkesbury Junction. We
will pass under the majestic bridge there and turn towards Atherstone, and
cruise the Coventry canal to Fradley Junction where we will turn onto the
Trent and Mersey, the cruise will end in Rugely. |

Rugeley - Nantwich.
September 3rd - 10th.
67 Miles, 42 Locks.
Canals - Trent & Mersey, Staffs & Worc, Shroppie.
Station - Rugeley.
Leaving Rugeley we cruise towards Great Haywood and back onto the Staffs
and Worcester canal, this is one of our favourite canals at this time of the
year. Passing through Penkridge we cruise to Autherley Junction and turn
onto the Shropshire Union canal a real contrast to the Staffs and Worcester,
we cruise through narrow cuttings and over mighty embankments . The cruise
will end in Nantwich. |

Nantwich - Trevor.
September 10th - 17th.
74 Miles, 37 Locks.
Canals- Shroppie, Llangollen,Montgomery.
Station - Nantwich.
Leaving Nantwich we turn at Hurleston to cruise the lovely Llangollen
canal. We will moor overnight at some of our favourite spots including
Wrenbury and Ellesmere. There should be time for a short exploration of the
restored Montgomery canal. There is always so much to see and explore on
this route. At Chirk the aqueduct is a foretaste of the fabulous Pontcysllte
Aqueduct, the cruise ends at Trevor. |

49 Miles, 21 Locks.( 5 Night short break)
Canals - Llangollen, Shroppie .
Station - Ruabon.

25.
Nantwich - Northwich
September 24th - October 1st.
79 Miles, 35 Locks.
Canals - Shroppie, Trent & Mersey, Weaver.
Station - Nantwich.
Leaving Nantwich, we cruise towards Chester and then return to Barbridge
Junction and onto the Middlewich Branch. From Middlewich we will cruise
towards Anderton, where we hope to descend the Boat lift, and spend a short
time on the Weaver navigation before ending the cruise at Northwich. |

26.
Northwich - Adlington.
October 1st - 8th.
77 Miles, 33 Locks.
Canals-Weaver ,T&M, Bridgewater, Leeds & Liverpool.
Station - Northwich.
Time to explore on the Weaver before ascending the boat lift to return
to the Trent and Mersey canal, we will join the Bridgewater canal passing
through Lymm and Worsley , before cruising the Leigh branch of the Leeds and
Liverpool canal. At Wigan we will ascend the mighty Wigan flight. The cruise
ends at Adlington. |

Adlington -Skipton.
October 8th - 15th.
58 Miles, 34 Locks.
Canal - Leeds & Liverpool .
Station - Adlington.
From Adlington we cruise the lovely Leeds and Liverpool canal in all of it’s
autumn glory, passing through the industrial towns of Blackburn and Burnley
before cruising through some beautiful scenery. In our estimation, the
stretch of canal between Barnoldswick and Skipton is truly one of the most
beautiful in the country. The cruise will end in Skipton with time to visit
the castle. |

Skipton - Skipton.
October 15th - 21st. 34 Miles, 22 Locks. ( 6 night short break)
Canal - Leeds & Liverpool.
Station - Skipton.
From Skipton we will cruise towards Saltaire, descending the fantastic
Bingley 5 rise staircase of locks, an experience that should not be missed.
There will be time to explore the fabulous Salts Mill before we turn and
retrace our steps to Skipton, where this cruise and our 2008 season ends.
